A Wrongful Death Case:

This is most serious. And if you are unfortunate enough to be going though the research on this topic because you have lost a loved one, then my heart truly goes out to you.  I am very sorry for what has happened and I pray you find the answers you seek.

Under Florida law, when a person has died as a result of the negligence of another, then your loved one’s estate must select a representative called the “Personal Representative” who will bring (file) a law suit within two (2) years of the date of death, on behalf of all survivors.

Florida’s Wrongful Death Statute can be found here:

768.16 Wrongful Death Act.

768.17 Legislative intent.

768.18  Definitions.

768.19 Right of action.

768.22 Form of verdict.

768.23 Protection of minors and incompetents.

768.24 Death of a survivor before judgment.

Please pray about it and if led, please let me help you.
