Professional Receptionist / Legal Assistant

Downtown Personal Injury law firm in Jacksonville, FL in need of a professional receptionist/legal assistant.

At The SOUD Law Firm, the legal receptionists are the first point of contact for clients who call or visit a law firm. They are the face of the firm. Receptionists greet visitors and answer telephones, thus creating a welcoming, comfortable, and professional environment. They often schedule appointments and inform lawyers of client arrivals. They must present and create an upbeat, welcoming, and professional atmosphere.

In addition, the legal receptionist helps gather, manage and disseminate information to keep the law office running smoothly. They assist with clerical duties such as scanning closed files, scanning the daily mail, filing hard and soft copies to the client files, and generating simple letters. The receptionist also assists with keeping the office clean and presentable at all times, including washing dishes, drink cups and coffee cups, cleaning reception area, doors and company sign/logo. Expect assignments that enable growth and leaning, which could be matters on client files or firm marketing materials.

This position is for immediate hire full-time.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients with an upbeat attitude
  • Answering multi-line phone system
  • Open/Close Files
  • Familiar with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Cheerful and professional demeanor
  • Clerical work such as filing, scanning, faxing, sending and receiving legal documents
  • Help keep the office clean and able to handle a fast paced law firm

Communication skills are critical.

Strong candidates would demonstrate independent problem-solving skills, are comfortable answering and navigating phone calls, and exercise organization in all areas of their job.

Position is full-time, 9:00a to 5:30p, Monday through Friday.[/message]
